The Liuyang Sky Theatre spans over a ¼ mile wide. The scale of the theatre presents the challenge of filling not just the sky, but also the peripheral of the audience.

0:00:21 - Bad Romance is used to bring the audience in with familiar phrases and present the scale of the venue.

0:02:27 - the Abracadabra music video opening serves as a softer, more choreographed transition along with Chromatica II.

0:03:12 - a pivot from the transition piece into Abracadabra instead of the originally intended 911 relies on a once culturally relevant buildup into a currently relevant piece. This section is my favorite and features the most precise work of the show.

00:05:09 - Abracadabra finishes with the Howard Stern Show live rendition. The softer tone gives the smoke a chance to clear, the sky a chance to breathe, and build up for act 3 —

0:05:45 - 1000 Doves restarts the show for the final act. A minimal start with small emotional painting with light builds up into the symbolism of 1000 doves flying through the air. A few 10” shells are showcased alone for the first time here, and live “birds” are released among stunning waterfall effects.

0:08:12 - 1000 Doves transitions seamlessly into the colorful presentation of the Edge of Glory as a show-stopping, sky-spanning grand finale that showcases the Pride flag.
